With tax season coming up I need to share with you my experience so I can hopefully prevent my experience happening to anyoneeveryone elseI reached out to Karen and we had our initial phone conversation. She told me that she charges between 300-450. I explained that I had previously gone to HampR Block and I told her how much they have charged me in the past 750. She specifically said that she should start charging more while she laughed. When we had our in-person consultation she took all of my documents and I explained to her that I cannot pay her until I get my funds. She said thats fine and asked for a deposit. She didnt tell me that she was charging me interest. I went to pick up my taxes and to my surprise, I find out these were not electronically completed but on paper and I had to mail them in. She charged me 1,450. Then she proceeds to talk trash about my financial advisor she didnt know he was my Step-Father implying that I should have her manage my money. She charged me 3x more than the max amount she quoted me, for 2 years of taxes. She charges a monthly interest fee when she had me mail a paper tax return. I mailed it on November 22nd, now its January 22nd and I have yet to receive my return. She has charged me almost 50 in interest. DO NOT go thru this woman who has hidden fees that she is NOT up front about. Had I seen her bill before I sent the taxes off I wouldve NEVER gone thru her. DO NOT TRUST THIS WOMAN. Karen is a liar, and a thief.
