I am very happy that I contacted Sylvia. She discovered that my former CPA had made a serious error when filing my returns which could have impacted my ability to collect social security. I am a Minister and I receive payments from my congregation. Sylvia informed me that there are special regulations that apply to ministers and that my former CPA did not prepare my tax returns correctly. I had not paid into the social security system for my income from the church as required and it would cost me my ability to collect social security when I retired.
